Dontavius James Blackshell 23, died on June 18, 2012 at Lawnwood Regional Medical Center in Fort Pierce, Florida.

He was born on August 24, 1988 in Vero Beach, Florida.

He was a lifelong resident of Fort Pierce and attended the local schools in St. Lucie County.

Survivors include: Daughter: Adaya Blackshell of Ft. Pierce, Florida.

Father: James Blackshell of Ft. Pierce, Florida.

Mother: Phyllis Carter of Ft. Pierce, Florida.

Brothers: Russell Matthews of Snead, Florida. Demon Blackshell of Port St Lucie, Fl and James Edward Blackshell of West Palm Beach, Florida.

Sister: Lakeisha Blackshell of Vero Beach, Florida.

Grandmothers: Margarie Fishburne of Fort Pierce, Fl. and Thelma Ross of Fort Pierce, Florida.

Services: Visitation will be 3pm-7pm, Friday, June 22, 2012 and Saturday, 9am-10am, June 23, 2012 at Sarah’s Memorial Chapel. A Celebration of Life will be conducted 11am, Saturday, June 23, 2012 at St Paul AME Church. A burial will be Riverview Memorial Park.
